The Audience Of A ‘Suicide Squad’ Test Screening Loved The DC Movie

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is snatching up headlines thanks to the stellar performance by Captain America: Civil War, the headlines for the DC Expanded Universe has had a few hiccups along the way, notably Batman v. Superman: The Dawn of Justice not living up to its hype whatsoever. Because of that, there have been mixed feelings about the impending release of Suicide Squad. Everything about Suicide Squad has been poured over online, from the reveal of Jared Leto’s Joker to reactions to the trailers.

But those fears of Suicide Squad being as disappointing as an epic clash between two beloved heroes might be unfounded, Complex states after a test screening Friday night in California. In fact, Twitter has been abuzz over the screening and most of the responses seem to be rather warm for the antihero film.

Of course, this is the internet, so there are doubts as to the validity of these reactions. Those advocating caution may be a voice of reason considering this was just one screening and that Twitter isn’t always the best litmus test for such things.

The question here is this; was there an early screening of Suicide Squad, and if so, was it really as good as these people on Twitter are claiming? We can only hope so. The wait for the August 5th release might begin to get painful, though, if we get more reactions like this.
