On Monday, the day before New York’s all-important presidential primary, Ted Cruz sent out an email. People who signed up for the Cruz campaign’s emails got an earnest letter about the “significant sacrifice” that Cruz has made in running for president. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is here to put her colleague’s sacrifice into blunt perspective.

Warren screenshot a good portion of this email, detailing the “constant attacks,” non-existent family time, the lack of time for maintaining one’s health or getting any sleep, or just lack of personal time, period, involved with a presidential campaign:

Or if you want Warren to recap for you:

Harsh, but take heart, Ted! Warren is just here to remind you that if you think you have it bad, there’s always someone who has it worse.

Damn. Then she calls out Cruz for not supporting the legislation that would make it easier on America’s working class.

Then she goes in on Cruz for not supporting marginalized groups in this country:

Then she basically tells Cruz to suck it up:

And do something about it:

Cruz writes in his letter, “Only by the grace of God — and with unwavering help from my wonderful supporters like you — have we reached this point — on the verge of capturing the Republican nomination.”

And by the grace of God, we get a thought-provoking rebuttal, thanks to politicians like Elizabeth Warren.
