When you're a 7th option veteran on a team with six players, it's understandable to need a little something "extra" to allievate the stress. Udonis Haslem's mind was racing (along with his Mercedes Benz) when he saw the long arm of the law in his rearview mirror. Of course, they couldn't see that they had pulled over a former NBA Champion because his tint was too dark. And then they smelled the aroma of the herbal essence...and it was all downhill from there.
According to Miami-Dade court records, Haslem was charged with possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana, a third-degree felony which could bring maximum punishments of a $5,000 fine and a five-year prison sentence. Haslem was released on bond shortly after 10 p.m. [Via]
If LeBron, Wade or Chris Bosh smoke as well, they might as well kick the habit because Udonis just put the red light over the entire organization.
