For those of you who’ve been wondering just what the jurors who acquitted George Zimmerman were thinking over the weekend, tonight CNN aired an interview Anderson Cooper conducted with juror B37, who was creepily shrouded in darkness throughout the whole thing. The main takeaway: the jury felt sympathy for Zimmerman and his defense team seems to have done everything right, particularly their decision to not have Zimmerman take the stand.

The juror — who will be writing a book about the trial — told Cooper she thought Zimmerman’s “heart was in the right place” the night Trayvon Martin was killed and that the only thing Zimmerman is guilty of is “not using good judgement.”

“I think George Zimmerman is a man whose heart was in the right place, but just got displaced by the vandalism in the neighborhoods and wanting to catch these people so badly that he went above and beyond what he really should have done. But I think his heart was in the right place. It just went terribly wrong.”

When Cooper asked the juror if she would feel comfortable with Zimmerman being a neighborhood watch volunteer in her community, she said, “if he didn’t go too far.” She added, “I would feel comfortable having George (as a neighborhood watchman)…I think he’s learned a good lesson.”

Here’s part one…
