Honey Boo Boo Has A Music Video Now, And It’s, Uh, Really Something

Since the TLC unceremoniously gave Here Comes Honey Boo Boo the boot amid allegations that matriarch Mama June was romantically involved with a convicted child molester, we haven’t heard much from the family who brought us the culinary delight known as “sketti.” But now Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is back, and starring in a brand new music video produced by viral video star Adam Barta, who has in the past worked with esteemed musicians such as Tan Mom, Octomom, and Teen Mom Farrah Abraham — the latter of whom allegedly stole his song for her incredible “Blowin'” music video.

Honey Boo Boo’s song is called “Movin’ Up,” which documents her family’s Jeffersons-like ascension from garden variety Georgia rednecks to kind of famous Georgia rednecks. The video also features Thompson’s sister Pumpkin, Mama Bear (who is lookin’ pretty fine, if I might add), and Dad Sugar Bear. Sample lyrics include:

I’M JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL, LIVING IN MY PRINCESS WORLD / WHEN RAINY DAYS GIVE ME THE BLUES, I BREAK OUT MY DANCING SHOES / STARTED OUT AS A PAGEANT QUEEN, THEN ON TV DOIN’ MY THING / NOW I’M MOVING UP IN THE WORLD, [UNINTELLIGIBLE] WITH MY GIRLS

After having watched “Movin’ Up” all the way through — two times, you’re welcome — I’m guessing my fate is going to be just like the people in The Ring, only instead of being murdered in seven days, I’m still going to be hearing “HONEY BOO BOO BOP, DO THE HONEY BOO BOO BOP” over and over in an endless loop inside my head. Those people in The Ring got off easy, if you ask me.
