No, this isn’t “Mythical Hero Achilles” bad or anything like that, but it’s pretty dumb nonetheless.
On Thursday’s episode of Wheel of Fortune, a contestant named Shermian had several letters to a puzzle with the category of “Things.”
As you can tell in the screencap below, the words “in the night” already exists. Shermian just needed the first and last word.
As a diehard Wheel of Fortune watcher, it’s pretty obvious that the first word here is “stars.” You don’t have to be a genius or a good player to figure that out. Unfortunately that’s not the direction Shermian (a medical doctor) went in.
Cue brain freeze.
I’m sorry ma’am, what did you just say? What in God’s name happened here?
Let’s break this thing down:
-There’s already a ‘T’ in the puzzle. The first word can’t be “start.”
-The fourth word says “night” not “right.”
-There’s already an ‘A’ in the puzzle. The last word can’t be “way.”
In the history of fails on Wheel of Fortune, this one is nowhere near the top of the list. That being said, damn this was bad.
