One ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Stood Out From The Pack And Left Fans Scratching Their Heads

According to fans of The Bachelor and Bachelorette, there is always one odd one in the bunch that seems to rub folks the wrong way. During the season premiere of The Bachelorette, the odd one wasn’t hard to find according to fans online. Making his entrance with a megaphone, Lucas Yancey is one of the folks vying for Rachel Lindsay this season, going up against a stiff group that includes a pro wrestler and a guy who showed up in a penguin costume. If only Joel McHale were back on The Soup to deal with this one.

Most of the recaps for the show seem to think we’ll be seeing Lucas pop up on Bachelor In Paradise season four, but most fans don’t seem keen to keep him around on the show. Lucas is 30 according to his bio on ABC’s website and currently holds “Whaboom” as an occupation. It’s also a catchphrase, t-shirt logo, and something that is sure to annoy throughout the season — or at least episode two. He’s basically Jean Ralphio from Parks And Recreation brought to life — or the Kaboom guy as you’ll see below.

Lindsay gave Lucas one of the show’s precious roses and ensured us he’ll return, likely right as the producers of the show planned. If people can’t stand a guy on their television screen, you know the folks behind the show are looking to keep them around for those “hate views.” And as long as he’s trying to make “whaboom” happen, that’s almost a guarantee for these fans:

Then again, not everybody was against the guy. Maybe “whaboom” will be a thing that will wear you down and make you a fan after a few weeks. All you need after that is a Senate run, some high-profile public appearances, and then it’s going to be “whaboom” all the way to the White House.
