On Thursday, Jessica Simpson appeared on CNBC’s Closing Bell to mark the 10-year anniversary of the Jessica Simpson Collection, and host Kelly Evans asked Simpson what “her biggest money mistake” was, so perhaps the viewers at home could learn from a famous person’s mistakes. Without skipping a beat, Simpson says, “The biggest money mistakes? … I don’t know. For some reason, I thought of my first marriage!” Evans tells her that, believe it or not, that’s actually a fairly common answer.
Jessica Simpson famously refused a prenup before her marriage to Nick Lachey, and while it’s unknown exactly how much he scored in the divorce, I think she said all she needed to right there.
