‘Boardwalk Empire State Of Mind’ Is Finally A Reality

I can’t believe it took so long for this to become a reality. I also can’t believe the person to make it a reality is the little dude who played Agent Sebso in season one. But that is exactly what has happened as actor/comedian Erik Weiner has transformed into his alter hip hop ego $EB$O to create a Weird Al-style music video melding together the Jay-Z/Alicia Keys hit with HBO’s 20’s era drama that Weiner was briefly a part of before he found Jesus (you had to be there).

Sticking with the Boardwalk Empire opening music keeps this from being as catchy as if they’d just jumped head first into “Empire State of Mind” but I respect staying true to the material. I mean, it’s not pancake rapping, but it’s still plenty enjoyable. Weiner gives a special thanks to Terence Winter in the credits, so I’m going to go ahead and assume that means this was definitely filmed on the BE set (had to be, right?), which makes it even more of a much watch for fans of the show.
