A new video has surfaced from the same group who claim to be — to borrow a term from John Oliver — the “gigantic f*cking assholes” responsible for the Paris attacks on Friday, only this time ISIS is promising to attack Washington, D.C., if the United States aids France in retaliation. The video was released across multiple Daesh propaganda websites shortly before President Barack Obama met with French President François Hollande, vowing to step up efforts against the terrorist organization.
In the video, a man identified as Al Ghareeb the Algerian makes the chilling threat against the United States:
“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and, by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington.”
It’s a threat not to be taken lightly, but — with even Anonymous now vowing to join the fight — if ISIS thinks that the rest of the world is going to bend over and cower in response to their vicious attacks, then they’ve clearly got another thing coming.
