AskMen Survey: Most Men Want to Be Superman, Share News On Facebook, Own An Android Phone

I’ll just go ahead and admit it — I’m a bit of a sucker for well-done poll and/or survey, especially one on anything pertaining to the demographics I fall under.

With that said, AskMen released the findings of their colossal 2011 “Great Male Survey” (It’s possibly more aptly titled “Great Young, Wired Man Survey” since it was conducted online, FYI) today, and while the entire survey contains all sorts of interesting data on heavy stuff like love, marriage and the economy, naturally the data that most piqued my interest was the more light-hearted stuff, much of it found in the survey’s third part. For example…

Poor Batman. He’s forever Superman’s bitch, it seems.

Some other fun data culled from the survey…

• Most men share news stories via Facebook than by any other electronic method.

• More men own android phones than iPhones and Blackberrys.

• More men believe in aliens than angels.

• The overwhelming majority of the men surveyed get their news online.

• More men watch movies by streaming them online than by any other method.

• 74% of the men surveyed said that sexting when in a relationship is cheating.

• The women men are most sick of are Lady Gaga and Sarah Palin.

• 50% of men in their 30s have met a woman online and men 35 and older are the most successful at meeting women online and developing relationships with them.

Now here’s something the AskMen survey, or any survey for that matter, did not need to tell us: That this is the greatest man who has ever lived…
