Seeing as how Ikea Monkey is our new internet overlord, it was only a matter of time before Stephen Colbert weighed in on it. And he is not happy at the media for making a big deal about a coat-wearing monkey at Ikea.
“Note to the media: a monkey at Ikea is not news,” Colbert said. “A monkey building the Fjell four door chest with no dowels left over — that’s news.”
Colbert then went on to demonstrate how the fine folks over at Fox News fail to fall for such easy airtime filler. Instead, Fox breaks out its “emergency Muslims” when things get slow. Enjoy!
