Well, on your list of flying-related fears, you can now add scorpion bites to crashing, ending up on the Lost island and Twilight Zone wing gremlins. An Alaska Airlines flight from LA to Portland was delayed before takeoff yesterday when a scorpion — who totally didn’t even have a boarding pass — stung a woman.
No offense, Beavs, but I feel like you’re not really the victims here:
The female passenger was checked out by medics at the gate and declined further medical attention — but did not take the flight, Cosgrove said.
The scorpion was killed by the crew, which then searched the plane before takeoff, Cosgrove said. The flight was delayed less than an hour.
It was not clear how the scorpion got on the plane, which had arrived in Los Angeles from Los Cabos, Mexico, he said.
When they say the scorpion was killed by the crew, I imagine it looked a lot like this.
Hopefully this was an isolated experience, or perhaps really, really viral marketing for Snakes on a Plane 2: Motherf*cking Scorpions on a Motherf*cking Plane.
