The “Sh*t ____ Say” videos went off the rails from the very beginning, and that’s the glorious beauty of the internet. The very act of generalizing what an entire segment of the population — from Girls to Gay Guys to Wookiees — is pointless but still hilarious. After all, you toss out enough one-liners, and eventually, a few of them will stick and suffice as enough truth to justify the entire clip. That’s one of the reasons why these videos are so scarily popular. Also, they’re pretty damn funny.
Everyone remembers the dudes in this video. As the familiar saying goes, guys wanted to be them, and girls inexplicably wanted to be with them. These are the guys who show up to the high school reunion acting exactly the same, but looking quite different. Yes, that’s what happens when one peaks in high school. The level of maturity tends to never progress, which is fine. These dudes are happy. However, anyone outside their cool crowd realizes that peaking later in life allows for much more perspective. To us, these guys are only a few years away from being Al Bundy and shaking their fists at the sky while remembering that magic touchdown (which led to that awesome night under the bleachers). These dudes are still legends in their own mind, and the rest of us can be glad to have reached an apex a good decade later.
