Star Wars has infected everything, even your favorite rap songs and social media platforms. Exhibit A: The Roots performed lines from the hashtag #StarWarsRaps on The Tonight Show.
Fallon created the hashtag, then highlighted his fan-submitted favorites to celebrate the release of The Force Awakens. Rather than just reading the best, however, he had The Roots fulfill their contractual obligation to flex on all other house bands. The group played everything from Biggie to Drake with a galactic bent. Check it out up top and stick around for Black Thought and Questlove whipping out their Chewbacca impersonations. Ask Gwendoline Christie, that’s not an easy voice to pull off.
