There was no “One Shining Moment” from Sir Charles to close it, but it’s hard to argue this intense ping-pong game between Drake and Reggie Miller didn’t have all the same drama and tension as March Madness.
The showdown was set up a couple of weeks ago, when Reggie Miller threw out a challenge to the Canadian rapper:
Working on my NBA All-Star plans and my peeps say @Drake is a master ping pong player, maybe he's up for a match 😏🤔🙏🏿..

For those who don’t know, Drake is reportedly a very big fan of the pong. For his birthday last year, he showed one of his prized gifts: a gold ping-pong paddle.

With NBA All-Star weekend taking place in Drake’s hometown of Toronto this year, it only made sense for somebody to put him to the test. Drake accepted.
Master is a bit of a stretch. But then again you have to stretch before everything works out. So yes Reginald @ReggieMillerTNT… its a go!

But if you thought this would be a friendly puff piece between two celebrities to kill a few minutes before the All-Star game tipped off, you’d be wrong. These two took it as serious as only a ruthless NBA legend and hometown hero can.
Check out Drake’s fist pump at 1:49 of the video. That’s the face of a man who’s playing his heart out.
In a weekend that usually doesn’t live up to its sky-high expectations, but did this year, thanks dunk contest!, it was pretty entertaining to see how exciting this was. If we can’t see Reggie Miller taking his competitiveness out on the NBA floor anymore, this is the next best thing.
