The best way to promote a Coen Brothers film about the week in the life of a folk singer in 1961? You guessed it: The lead actor showing off his musical chops by performing an acoustic version of Katy Perry’s “Roar” with Jimmy Fallon on Late Night. Not only would I immediately add the track to a Spotify playlist if it became available, but it also confirms that out of nowhere acoustic covers of Katy Perry songs are always superior than actual Katy Perry songs. No one denies this.
Seriously though, it’s super weird that this makes me want to see Inside Llewyn Davis even more.
