On the unofficial one-year anniversary of his “F*** Brooklyn!” yell at a fan rally outside Air Canada Centre, Masai Ujiri was at it again. Mic in hand on stage at “Jurassic Park” earlier today, the Toronto Raptors GM took full advantage of a golden opportunity to further incite his team’s rabid fan base before Game 1 of its first round playoff series against the Washington Wizards.
This time, though, his NSFW message was directed at a specific player as opposed to an entire opponent: Paul Pierce.

I know everybody wants me to say something about Paul Pierce. Here’s what I’m going to say: We don’t give a s*it about him!
Classic mic drop.
Ujiri, of course, was responding to the future Hall-of-Famer’s incendiary comments from earlier this week in an interview with ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan. Despite the Wizards having struggled against Toronto during the regular season, Pierce said he was unconcerned about a potential playoff matchup with the Raptors because they lack “the ‘It’ that makes you worried.”
Toronto fans took Ujiri’s lead and ran with it in the early going of Game 1, serenading the 37 year-old with chants of “Paul Pierce sucks!” just moments after tipoff. True to form, Pierce counted with a barrage of vintage shot-making in the second quarter – after being down-shifted to nominal power forward in Washington’s small-ball lineup.
Spurred by The Truth’s 10 points, the Wizards lead the Raptors 46-42 at intermission.
