Portland’s yard sale continues. Hours after trading away Gerald Wallace – and grabbing an incredible draft pick out of it – the Blazers have now traded Marcus Camby to the Houston Rockets. Yahoo! Sports’ Marc Spears and Adrian Wojnarowski are both reporting the Rockets will be sending expiring deals and a second-round pick back to the Blazers, who continue to look towards the future.
As it turns out, those players going from Houston to Portland are Jonny Flynn and Hasheem Thabeet. The pick the Blazers picked up is a second rounder this summer originally from Minnesota.
We already know what Portland wants to do. Houston is going for the playoffs, and while Camby isn’t a huge difference-maker, he could help turn this Rocket team into a dangerous first round opponent for the Thunder.
Will this help the Rockets this year?
