So glad the NBA is back. Here's Stacy King's best attempt at Giannis Antetokounmpo's name https://t.co/O8OA4vgsRr

I am not going to sit here and lie to you and pretend that I can pronounced Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s last name perfectly. However, I think most people have a general understanding of how to pronounce the Greek Freak’s last name. At the very least, we know that the letters R and B don’t make an appearance in there anywhere.
Bulls announcer Stacey King is not one of those people. The Bucks and the Bulls have a preseason game on Monday night, and King wanted to single out Antetokounmpo as the leader for Milwaukee. That’s good and all, but his pronunciation of the former member of the Greek military’s last name left a whole heck of a lot to be desired.
Trying to spell out King’s attempt is kind of hard, but my best guess is that he said “Ahdegarumbo.” We will also accept “Ahtekurumbo” as an acceptable spelling, because like many people who try to say “Antetokounmpo,” he kind of mumbles his attempt at the name in the hopes that it would go under the radar.
This very well could be the roughest attempt at saying the Greek Freak’s last name that we’ve heard. Really, the only other person who has a claim to this throne is Jared Sullinger, who thought “Antetokounmpo” was pronounced “Agabootah”:
The moral of this story is that every single hilarious butchering of Giannis’ last name must include the letter B in one way or another.
