The Golden State Warriors extended their regular season undefeated streak to 27 straight games on Tuesday night with a 131-123 victory over the Indiana Pacers. The more games the Warriors keep winning, the more impressive their undefeated start to the 2015-16 regular season becomes.
However, there is at least one basketball team – the Harlem Globetrotters, to be precise – who isn’t too blown away with the 27-game win streak like the rest of the basketball world. Shortly after the Warriors defeated the Pacers, the Globetrotters’ Twitter account, decided it was a convenient point in time to remind Golden State which team really has the most impressive streak in basketball. Hint: It isn’t Golden State.
Congrats to the @Warriors on their 27-game win streak. They're now just 3,562 short of our current mark.

We're starting to get worried though… 👀

The Warriors might not lose for awhile — beginning this Friday they’ve got games against the Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, and Utah Jazz remaining before they face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day. While the Warriors cannot possibly catch up to the Globetrotters’ 3,589-game win streak, if they can remain undefeated before the huge NBA Finals rematch against Cleveland on Dec. 25, that will be an insanely fantastic accomplishment. For now, though, the Warriors can just keep on doing what they’re doing, and at the very least hold Harlem’s win streak as a benchmark.
