As has been the case all year, the Cleveland Browns lost this week. Cleveland played host to Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon and fell to their in-state rival, 23-10. Very little went right for the Browns, but at one point, a Cleveland sports figure got honored during the game.
The bad news was the person who honored said Cleveland sports figure played for the Bengals. Jeremy Hill scored a touchdown in the first quarter and celebrated by dropping to one knee, putting his hands up in a specific way, and looking to the heavens. As any basketball fan will tell you, this celebration was made famous by J.R. Smith, who Hill called “the GOAT”. Smith had a stellar sequence back when he played for the Knicks that ended with a buzzer beater. If you haven’t seen it, or if you just haven’t watched it in a while, you can do so right here.
This isn’t the first time that a football player scored against the Browns in Cleveland and shouted out someone on the Cavaliers this season. Along with this celebration, Odell Beckham Jr. made it a point to show some love to LeBron James when he scored against the Browns a few weeks back.
