Jordan Bell Left The Game In A Wheelchair After Trying To Block A Robin Lopez Dunk

Jordan Bell has been a revelation for the Golden State Warriors. Seeing as how the team spent $3.5 million to buy a draft pick from the Chicago Bulls in order to select Bell in the second round this past summer, it’s probably good news for Golden State that their highly-priced gamble is paying off.

That purchased pick added some intrigue to Wednesday night’s game between the Warriors and the Bulls, as some were fascinated at the thought of Bell playing against the team that could have drafted him if they wanted. And seeing as how Bell seems to have a chip on his shoulder about the whole thing, well, this was an interesting matchup.

Unfortunately for Bell, he had to leave the game in a wheelchair after suffering an ankle injury in the first quarter. Bell went up to contest a Robin Lopez dunk, was unable to convert the veteran big man from converting, and went down in some serious pain.

Bell came down hard and awkwardly on his left leg, which is a always a bad combination. After being brought to the back, the Warriors announced that he was undergoing x-rays.

X-rays turned out to be negative, with the official diagnosis being a sprained left ankle, with an MRI scheduled for Thursday to determine the severity.
