Over the years, the Jordan Brand Classic has grown into one of the best annual showcases of five-star, high school basketball recruits in the country, on par with more-established events like the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Nike Hoop Summit. This year’s exhibition features prospects such as Wendell Carter Jr., Jalek Felton, Quade Green, Michael Porter Jr., Nick Richards, and more.
As they do every year, the players will debut an array of brand-new signature sneakers when they take the floor for Friday night’s festivities. Here’s more from Jordan Brand’s official press release:
This year’s Jordan Brand Classic participants are part of the “Class of XXXI.” The “Class of” program is inspired by three decades of Jordan Brand tradition in game-changing performance and transcendent style. Classes are determined by the year our athletes became seniors and the signature Air Jordan shoe in the market at that time. Class of XXXI represents this year’s senior class of Jordan Brand high school athletes and draws inspiration from the Brand’s family of basketball athletes, including Russell Westbrook (Class of XX), Kawhi Leonard (Class of XXIV) and Ray Allen (Class of VIII).
