Did you really expect anything less from Kobe Bryant? If so, that’s completely understandable. The Los Angeles Lakers legend has been a shell of his younger self for three years running. But not on Wednesday night.
In an absolutely jaw-dropping performance the basketball world will remember forever, Bryant scored 60 points – including 17 straight in a hotly contested fourth quarter – to lead his overmatched team to a 101-96 victory over the Utah Jazz.
Los Angeles’ epic comeback was nearly complete when Kobe drilled this three-point to make the score 96-95 Jazz as the fourth-quarter clock dipped below one minute.
