Between music power couple Jay Z and Beyonce campaigning on Hillary Clinton’s behalf with a concert in Cleveland, you’d think the Democratic nominee was all set for Ohio before November 8th. However, according to a new report by New York magazine that Clinton campaign staffers later confirmed on social media, Cleveland’s own LeBron James will join the former secretary of state for another event on Sunday — just two days ahead of the general election.
King James endorsed Clinton back in October, saying Clinton was the only presidential candidate who favored “the kinds of policies and ideas the kids in my foundation need from our government.” Now it seems the Cleveland Cavaliers forward will put his words into practice, as James and Clinton — who’ve reportedly never met before in person — will do just that before a crowd at a campaign stop at the Public Auditorium on Sunday. Or at least two unnamed sources said as much to New York writer Yashar Ali on Friday.
Soon after the report hit Twitter, Clinton campaign staffer Ian Sams confirmed the news with one of James’ more GIF-able moments from game seven of the World Series on Wednesday:

An official release from the Clinton campaign subsequently confirmed the Get-Out-the-Vote event and its main headliners, James and Clinton.
