Before you check this out, know that this is no ordinary music video. This year, independent artists Macklemore and Ryan Lewis set out to film an ambitious music video to accompany “WINGS,” the first single on their upcoming LP. Teaming up with director Zia Mohajerjasbi, who the duo first collaborated with on 2009’s “The Town,” the multi-layered narrative incorporates the personal story of Macklemore and extends outwards to several generations of sneakerheads. Their Kickstarter campaign raised $18,269 from 423 backers, while their goal was only to raise $10,000.
