In his first two appearances as a member of the Orlando Magic, rookie Mario Hezonja has already exhibited the incredible natural ability that has many forecasting imminent stardom.
First, he hit a game-winning triple during the final seconds of his team’s Summer League opener. Two days later, the 6-foot-6 Croatian drove the lane and dunked all over the Oklahoma City Thunder. A silky shooting stroke and explosive athleticism? It’s no wonder he’s oft compared to J.R. Smith.
Hezonja is averaging 14 points per game on 9-24 shooting (4-14 3PTs) for the 1-1 Magic.
