The Milwaukee Bucks now have the most tatted, explosive backcourt in the NBA. Words broke a little while ago that the Bucks and Golden State Warriors have agreed to a monster trade centered on swapping Monta Ellis and Andrew Bogut and various other pieces.
The trade will see Ellis, Epke Udoh and Kwame Brown heading east for Bogut and Stephen Jackson. Obviously, both teams decided they needed to shake up their respective styles of play. By bringing in Ellis, Milwaukee signals that they’re done with Bogut’s never-ending injuries and want to play more uptempo. The Warriors are clearly looking to slow down their pace – gone are the days of purely trying to outgun opponents. If Bogut could ever stay healthy, they will have a solid Bogut/David Lee/Stephen Curry core.
