The series between Boston and Washington has been one of the most evenly-matched in recent memory. It’s been so good that it’s kind of unfortunate it has to end, but tonight, we’re going to crown a win and learn which team earns the right to move on to the next round of the postseason.
Well, we could wait until tonight, or we could turn to NBA2k and try to figure out what’s going to happen. Obviously, we decided to do just that. Boston vs. Washington. Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals in front of a raucous crowd at TD Garden in Beantown. What’s going to happen?
That’s right: Washington is going to walk into Boston and win Game 7 by nine points. You can watch the entire simulation here, or you can keep reading for the highlights.
As they have been so many times this season, the Wizards were led by the 1-2 punch of John Wall and Bradley Beal. The pair combined for 45 points, 12 assists, and six steals in the win.
Boston, meanwhile, wasted a spectacular performance out of Al Horford, who threw down a 33-point, 14-rebound, four-block evening. Both Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley struggled, combining for 28 points on 11-for-30 shooting.
The shot that sealed the win for the Wizards did not come from either member of their dynamic backcourt, though. With four minutes left, Boston cut the lead to five, but this jumper from Markieff Morris sealed the deal for Washington and punched their ticket to the conference finals.
And as usual when the Wizards win, Wall was the game’s Most Valuable Player.
Obviously anything can happen once the game tips off, but let’s face it, NBA2K would never purposely steer us wrong.
