The 2016-17 season will be the final year of adidas’ NBA apparel contract, meaning it will be the last year they produce the special Christmas jerseys. According to a leak from ESPN’s UniWatch blog, this year’s Christmas uniforms will look almost the same as last year’s, save for a few color changes.
This year’s NBA Christmas uniforms are very similar to last season’s. Here are the 10 teams that will be playing on Dec. 25. pic.twitter.com/b9hoofw0p0

Fortunately, the current template for Christmas jerseys is awesome, so leaving it the same is not the worst idea in the world. Compared to other recent Christmas jerseys, these were refreshingly free of gimmicks: no sleeves, no first names on the back. These uniforms are tailor-made for the wholly unique national audience that will tune in on December 25, basically. Just what kind of person would staunchly object to classic script and primary colors? A Scrooge, for one, but it’s not like you’ll be cozying up to the television with someone who poo-poos holiday cheer anyway.
A quick refresher on the league’s viewing schedule come Christmas day: Celtics at Knicks (12:00 EST), Warriors at Cavaliers (2:30 EST), Bulls at Spurs (5:00 EST), Timberwolves at Thunder (8:00 EST), Clippers at Lakers (10:30 EST).
Can’t wait!
