The 2016-2017 NBA season will begin in less than two months and the league has never been healthier. In fact, the NBA has become a year-round source of entertainment and intrigue for basketball fans, and the great majority of the attention is positive.
The video above, though, highlights some of the pure entertainment that can be found by taking pleasure in the misfortune of others. This 16-minute montage of bloopers and cringe-worthy moments from the 2015-2016 campaign was actually released by the NBA itself and, in short, this is yet another reason that the league executes at the highest level of any major sport when it comes to marketing and social media.
There are missed dunks, clumsy falls, horrible dance moves, equipment mishaps, mascot disasters and much more involved, culminating with the league’s 2015-2016 MVP, Stephen Curry, simply clapping his way through the circus that is Draymond Green. Time exists that could be dedicated to actual basketball analysis, discussion of real-world issues that the league is involved with and even wild projections about what will take place over the course of the 2016-2017 NBA season. In the case of this video, though, it is probably best to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the mayhem.
