The Warriors were without Steph Curry against the Rockets Monday because of the ankle he tweaked in Game 1. The good news is that they didn’t really miss a beat, easily defeating Houston to go up 2-0 in their opening-round series. But what has Bay Area fans holding their collective breaths is the outcome of an MRI Curry has scheduled for Tuesday. Via Diamond Leung of Inside the Warriors.
The Warriors listed Curry as questionable to play in Game 3 of their first-round series at Houston on Thursday due to a right ankle injury.
“It’s the back of his foot,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after Curry missed Game 2. “It’s underneath the ankle. It’s something down there.”
Golden State will be just fine if he has to miss more time here in the early going, but their championship fate almost certainly hinges on having a healthy Curry in tow in the later rounds. Luckily, it doesn’t appear to be anything too serious, according to at least one report.
MRI on Steph Curry's right ankle, I'm told, revealed "nothing of concern." Remains listed as questionable for Thursday's Game 3

The reigning MVP was hampered by ankle problems during his first few seasons in the NBA, to the point where it was unclear whether he’d have much of a future in the league at all. He’s been mostly immune to those issues the past couple of seasons during his meteoric rise. He and the Warriors are hoping this is just a minor bump in the road en route to their second consecutive championship run.
