It’s a very special day. Team USA basketball has won another gold medal. Carmelo Anthony knows the significance of this moment in his bones, and that’s why he cried and you should watch him cry.

Team USA beat Serbia 96-66 in the Olympic final behind a sensational performance from Kevin Durant, who scored 30 points and put the game out of reach with some truly unguardable offensive play well before it was halftime. Former Team USA teammates LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, and Anthony Davis certainly took note from home.
Congrats @usabasketball for bringing home another #gold #USMNT

Anthony, for his part, may have staked his claim to being the most storied Team USA baller of all time. With his third gold medal in four appearances, no one has seen quite as much as he has in the name of American basketball. Anthony expressed that while this victory was emotional for him, it was just as much about the team’s many first-timers getting to experience the gold. Those dudes did a very good, if not incredibly expressive, dance, following the victory.
USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo, meanwhile, dropped a gold medal and DeAndre Jordan did his best to inspire a new meme.
Olympic glory even reunites old friends, like Jimmy Butler and Tom Thibodeau.

It’s been fun to say the least. We’ll see you – and hopefully LeBron James – back at the Olympics in another four years.
