Even though the NBA has been in its offseason for months now, there’s still been plenty of basketball-related stuff for us to enjoy. There was the NBA Draft and the craziness of free agency. We watched the USA win another gold medal in the Olympics, two if you include the women’s team. We’ve even started to see some preview stuff ramping up to the 2016-2017 season. However, all this stuff has got to take a backseat now. Steven Adams sang a Backstreet Boys song. We’ve reached the peak of this offseason.
Adams, hair and mustache resplendent as ever, was riding in some sort of transport, let’s just call it a car for convenience’s sake, in his native New Zealand. It seems like everybody in the car is into singing along with the classic Backstreet Boys song “I Want It That Way.” However, smack dab in the middle of the video there’s Adams going all-in on his performance.
Sure, the giant guy with the crazy hair is always going to draw the eye. Adams is nevertheless so delightful that one can watch the video and not even realize that Andre Roberson is sitting right next to him, singing as well. Adams is one of the funnier and entertaining players in the NBA, and this video does nothing to lower his stature in that regard. Fingers crossed he can make it through the season without getting punched in the face or kicked in the balls.
