Former NBA player Mychal Thompson can rest assured that few have raised more athletic sons than he has. First, there was his oldest son Mychel, who played in the NBA for the Cavs in 2012 and now currently plays in an Italian league. And, of course, we’re all well-aware of his middle son Klay, who is a current NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors and one-half of the “Splash Brothers.” Now his third son, Trayce, is getting in on the action, except he’s doing it in a completely different sport.
Trayce, 24, has been a career minor-leaguer in the Chicago White Sox system. Drafted in the second round in the 2009 amateur draft, he had spent the last six years of his life toiling around in the bus leagues (with marginal results). In 2015, he started the season with Triple-A Charlotte, where he hit .260 with 13 home runs. Then, earlier this month, he got promoted to the big club.
On Tuesday night, Trayce hit his first-career homer, a solo shot in the bottom of the fifth inning. Afterwards, his new teammates gave him the customary silent treatment in the dugout.

Congratulations, Trayce, and congratulations to the entire Thompson family for once again showing off your spectacular genes.
