Tristan Thompson Took A Savage Shot At Draymond Green During The Cavs Parade

It’s fair to say the Cleveland Cavaliers hate Draymond Green and have sound reasoning for it. Green helped the Golden State Warriors beat the Cavs in the NBA Finals last year, flails his limbs indiscriminately at the testicles of opponents and talked some trash after winning it all last year.

“Cavaliers, nope,” he said after last year’s Finals win. “We won, yep. They suck, yep.”

So after rallying from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Warriors this year, the Cavs’ Tristan Thompson responded. How? In kind.

It’s even funnier if you believe that Thompson was shadowboxing and imagining someone’s groin absorbing the blows. That would be some serious shade being tossed Green’s way.

Cavaliers GM David Griffin even thanked the Warriors for all the trash talk and said the team wouldn’t have rallied this year without it. From Cleveland.com:

“It pushed Ty Lue and his coaches, it pushed him and his staff, it pushed Trent (Redden), and Koby (Altman), and Mike (Gansey) in our front office,” Griffin said. “It pushed our ownership group, our entire team, our team behind the team, and you guys all know who you are, to find excellence and find it as quickly as possible. I think it took a team that good to force us to the brink. To force us to ignore the noise and lean on one another, to sacrifice for one another and to find appropriate fear.

“They made us bring everything we had. We had to be all in in order to find our collective greatness. Without them we could not have made history by rallying for that brink and overcoming a 3-1 deficit for the first time.”

Let this be a lesson to all the up-and-coming athletes out there — either talk trash, or hit people in the balls, but don’t do both because eventually you will anger the wrong people (and probably get suspended for the balls stuff in a tide-turning Game 5).
