Yes, this is the second consecutive post about the Philadelphia 76ers. Don’t like it? Tell their pair of hyper-athletic rookies to stop making such impressive plays. After Nerlens Noel went behind-the-back for a smooth dime on the break, K.J. McDaniels did him one better by rising for an epic, alley-oop facial on the Orlando Magic’s Mo Harkless.

Absolutely filthy.
We’ve profiled McDaniels before; like Noel, his rare natural gifts have already helped him make a defensive impact this season. The second-round pick played a majority of his minutes at power forward during his three years at Clemson, and is making the difficult transition to full-time wing with Philly.
Clearly, he has the explosiveness and all-around athleticism to check perimeter defenders. Once McDaniels’ jumper comes around, he seems a prototype ‘3-and-D’ candidate that can clean the glass and guard multiple positions. The question is if he’ll realize that potential with the Sixers. Betting on a banner rookie season, McDaniels signed a one-year contract that will make him a restricted free agent this summer.
If the 21 year-old keeps making plays like this, he’ll be due a big payday come July – whether it’s from Philly or another smart, opportunistic club.
