LeBron James played less than 28 minutes last night in a 105-94 win over the Clippers. He didn’t play at all in the fourth quarter after his 23 points (8/14), nine assists and a bevy of dunks helped the Cavs to a 31-point lead entering the fourth. Let’s look at some of his rim-rattlers.
The below dunking explosion should be prefaced by Kevin Love‘s 24 points (6/14) and nine rebounds, somewhat breaking out of a slump that’s ironically coincided with Cleveland’s current 12-game winning streak.
But it was James who unleashed a torrent of dunking prowess in the first half while scoring 15 points and dishing eight dimes in just the first two sessions. His jams came in a variety of ways, too:
There was the solo split at the top of the arc before a hyper excursion through the paint for the two-handed flush:
The cut into the paint to catch the Timofey Mozgov bounce pass:
Then the give-and-go alley-oop he ran with Kyrie Irving on the break:
It made James dunk happy, and he said after the game: “That’s exactly how we want to play.”
