We know that Channing Tatum has been staring at his Matthew McConaughey bust for a few weeks now while writing the script for Magic Mike 2, but the follow-up to the wildly successful 2012 male stripper movie is still without a director. But even with the script (presumably) unfinished and no director set, it seems that filming is on schedule to begin in the fall, because BIG DICK Richie says so. In an interview with Collider, Manganiello revealed that the news is coming soon, and he’s ready to follow up the “most fun” that he’s ever had.
“Yeah, it’s gonna happen this fall. I think they’re going to announce it soon. It’s crazy. I didn’t think that would be my first franchise. I never thought that would ever be the direction of my career. But that said, it’s just proof that I don’t know best, all the time. It was the most fun I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to get back in and mix it up with those guys.” (Via Collider)
Collider also pointed out what we already knew that this is supposed to be C-Tates’ directorial debut with his writing partner (pronounced path-nah), Reid Carolin, under the tutelage of Steven Soderbergh. I ain’t no expert or nuthin’, but I gots 2 assume dat B da way C-Tates rolls on Magic Mike Deuce: Shawty’s Like What What. Hey, you know what? It’s Friday. How about a C-TATES GIF DANCE PARTY!!!
