Zack Snyder, director of the upcoming superhero synergy film ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ has tweeted a photo of Henry Cavill as a #SuperJedi (even though I’d say #SuperSith) and has filled thousands of nerd-boners with dork-blood. There is something interesting about the meta-Cosplay of Superman playing dress-up as a character who has categorically weaker superpowers than his own. Of course, there is no way that this picture is indicative of a Star Wars/DC crossover series, because I’m pretty sure that would destroy the fabric of American society. However, the possibility of some sort of Star Wars crossover is not being completely dismissed by the people over at The Hollywood Reporter.
Whether or not such a crossover is possible is another question, of course. Star Wars is owned by Disney, which owns Warners’ big rival in the superhero movie stakes, Marvel Studios. If any super hero universe were collide with meet George Lucas‘ galaxy far far away, it would be Marvel’s … Wouldn’t it?
I believe both scenarios to be completely preposterous, but I’m sure Henry Cavill would be 100% on board in the unlikely event that those universes collided. But for now, he’s just a dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude.
