Deadpool’s latest preview gives foreign audiences a taste of action and a look at just how much the X-Men have to do with this R-rated adventure. We get to see those iconic doors, the Blackbird, and we get to see Colossus do a bit more than just get punched and walk around.
It’s not a shock that the film would boost the action for the foreign audiences. Some of those fourth wall breaking jokes and quips might not land the same way that they would here with American audiences. So to get people into the theaters, you have to boost up that action. And it’s not exactly a bad thing for American audiences either.
I don’t think many are entirely sure where they fits into the X-Men films, but it certainly seems to share the same world in some manner. It’s easy to explain it all away on the shenanigans in Days Of Future Past. There are apparently some “very big plans” ahead for the X-Men franchise and this might be the first step. If that means we’re going to get more Colossus with his comic-book look, there won’t be many complaints. And if there are, those people won’t be listened to anyway. It’s a billion-dollar franchise, they’re going to do what they want.
