The Catalina Wine Mixer From ‘Step Brothers’ Is Now A Real Thing

Will Ferrell received a Baseball Hall of Fame plaque for his Spring Training stunt where he played 10 positions for 10 teams. It’s quite the honor, though not as much as the f*cking Catalina Wine Mixer from the ever-quotable Step Brothers becoming a real-life event. On September 13, the Descanso Beach Club in Avalon, Calif. will turn into the biggest helicopter leasing event in the Western Hemisphere since 1997, complete with a performance from The Dan Band.

Join us Sunday, September 13, 2015 for the 1st Annual Catalina Wine Mixer at Descanso Beach Club! Experience the classic event from Step Brothers, full of fun, live bands, DJs, gourmet food, and fine wine on Catalina Island. You don’t want to miss this event. (Via)

There will be helicopters, obviously, but what about Boats ‘N Hoes and covers of 1980s Billy Joel songs? Because listen, motherf*cker, we only want to hear ’80s Joel. That’s just the kind of reference you should expect to hear, over and over again, at the grammatically incorrect “1st Annual Catalina Wine Mixer,” making it just like every college dorm room in America.

If the event’s successful, more Ferrell fictional projects should come to life. Think of it: Saturday Night Live Land, where you can get into staring contests with big horns as Robert Goulet or duet with Bigfoot as Neil Diamond, the songbird of his generation. And so on.
