If you’re a fan of dramatic music, local toughman boxing competitions or gigantic illiterate hillbillies, you may already be familiar with Bucky Boyd, fighter and ace promo man for Welch, West Virginia’s biannual ‘Rough N Rowdy Brawl.’ We’ve followed him since he first burst onto the scene claiming to be a 41-0 street fighter only to collapse into helplessness the first time he was punched by his opponent/arch-rival ‘Tree.’ He claimed he was sucker-punched.
Bucky and Tree then had a rematch, which Bucky again lost immediately, because he’d eaten “some bad shicken.” He came back a third time to make an open challenge and eat some stuffed animals. Basically he’s my favorite person.
The next Rough N Rowdy Brawl happens on Mar. 7-8, 2014 at the Welch Armory, and guess what’s on the card? That’s right: the epic, final encounter between “King” Bucky and Tree. DA GOT TA WORE HAS SPOKEN. This year’s claims: the Tree will fall (of course), he will make Tree shit his pants, and he will chop Tree down into a 3-foot tall “midget.” Bucky Boyd, ladies and gentlemen.
Tree’s response (cut with old Bucky footage) is pretty perfect, too, and features Tree kinda-sorta announcing that he’s a Satanist.

Who do you think’s gonna take Bucky/Tree III? If I was a betting man, I’d take “Tree via first thrown punch.”
