The NFL’s new extra point rule has made for some pretty tense moments on what would otherwise be routine plays, and it’s also made for some pretty ticked off kickers. The latest to fall victim of the not-so-easy extra point was Bills kicker Dan Carpenter. Coming into the Bills game against the Jets, Carpenter had missed five extra points throughout the season but his sixth miss was his most humiliating. See, Dan was so upset with the miss he slammed his helmet to the ground in disgust, only for it to bounce back and exact some revenge on his mouth.
Ouch. The Bills are currently up on the Jets 13-7 as they look to play spoiler and keep the Jets out of the playoffs. With the way these things usually work don’t be surprised if the Bills need that point later in the game.
