The Philadelphia Eagles stunned the football world on Sunday night, as Nick Foles and Co. won the first Super Bowl in Eagles history. Foles ended up winning the Super Bowl MVP award, as the veteran signal caller absolutely carved up the New England Patriots’ defense en route to a 41-33 victory.
There are plenty of reasons why the Eagles won: Foles was obviously outstanding, Brandon Graham forced a fumble against Tom Brady late in the fourth quarter that Brandon Graham recovered, and the coaching staff put together an incredible gameplan, namely on the offensive side of the ball.
But above all else, it might have been something far more powerful than the team. That thing? Well, it turns out it was The Force, at least if the Twitter account of Mark Hamill is to be believed.
Philadelphia native Scott Weinberg tweeted that he wanted to know Hamill was rooting for in the game. As it turns out, Hamill didn’t know exactly who he was cheering for, but it turned out he was pulling for Philly.

Weinberg, understandably, was blown away over the fact that Luke Skywalker was pulling for the Birds.

And right after this happened? Well, let’s just say that The Force was undoubtedly with the Eagles.

Sunday night was an unforgettable one for all Philly fans, which apparently included Mark Hamill.
