Mean Girls is one of the most quotable movies of the last 10-15 years, and Mad Men is a show that often deals with similar power dynamics (albeit in a different way), so the most surprising thing about the Mean Mad Men Tumblr is that it’s taken this long for someone to smash the two together. It’s perfect. Especially the Betty Draper/Regina George stuff. I may never stop laughing at some of those.
The only downside of the whole thing is that it’s only been around for about a week, so there aren’t a ton of posts yet. But given the obvious parallels (Don/Joan/Betty = Regina, Pete/Peggy/Megan = Cady, Don/Roger = The Plastics, Harry Crane = Glen Coco, Sal = Damien, I COULD DO THIS ALL DAY, PEOPLE), it’s not like there’s a lack of material to choose from. Now someone give me a screencap of Megan’s mom blowing Roger with Amy Poehler’s “I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom” quote over it. I don’t have all day.
