Forgive the cloyingly referential headline, but it was either that or “PATTON STAR WARS PARKS WATCH NOW YOU SHOULD.” To enumerate: in his ongoing attempt to appear on every good TV show ever, Patton Oswalt will guest star on Thursday’s Parks and Recreation as, according to HitFix, “another Pawnee crackpot who gets upset at Leslie’s proposal to eliminate some of the more outdated/racist/sexist laws on the town charter.” Meaning, it’s filibuster time, and because Oswalt’s the thinking man’s Randal Graves, he goes off for nearly NINE MINUTES on Star Wars, The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, and X-Men. Awesome.
Sadly, not too many shows are going to dedicate a fourth of an episode to a stand-up comedian blustering on and on about a Quinjet, so we’ll only see snippets of Oswalt’s busting during tomorrow’s episode. Between this and his inspired Facebook Note, it’s been a good week for Oswalt — he’s one sex tape with Alison Brie (with a corgi holding the camera) away from being crowned King of the Internet.
