Here’s The Full-Length Trailer For The LEGO-Themed ‘Simpsons’ Episode, ‘Brick Like Me’

The much-discussed LEGO-themed episode of The Simpsons, titled “Brick Like Me,” is set to air this Sunday night. As part of what now feels like the six-month lead-up to the episode’s debut, Fox has released this full-length, movie-style trailer, which features the whole gang living in an all-LEGO world, with Homer crossing back and forth between the block and cartoon versions of himself, much to his confusion and/or horror. It looks … good? Yeah, it looks pretty good.

I don’t know. To be perfectly honest, when I heard “The Simpsons will be doing a LEGO episode and will be releasing a line of Simpson-themed LEGO products at or around the same time” a few months back, dozens and dozens of Shameless Corporate Tie-in alarm bells started going off in my head, which made it difficult to process the news objectively. Because of the ringing. So many bells. I really don’t know why I need all of them. One would probably suffice, provided it’s loud enough.

But I also thought the same thing about The LEGO Movie, which was adorable and fun in ways I very much did not expect when I first heard “Hollywood is making a movie about LEGO,” so there’s that. And, as I said, this trailer looks pretty cool, so there’s that, too.

tl;dr I DON’T KNOW HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THINGS ANYMORE.
