Possible spoilers for Game Of Thrones will follow below, so tread carefully. And if you haven’t watched the show up to this point, what are you waiting for?
When it comes to the speculation over who will return on Game Of Thrones and who will remain buried in the cold, unforgiving ground, this moment in between seasons has been heavy. Is Jon Snow really dead? Have we seen the last of our favorite characters like The Hound? Will Lady Stoneheart ever rise from the grave to punish those who wronged her? All hasn’t been revealed yet, but we do have a pretty good inkling at what is going to happen with some of those characters.
There’s also been quite a lot of speculation about how some characters will be returning in other forms, like Ned Stark and Shae as flashbacks and hallucinations. If you take into account all of the leaks and set photos that we’ve seen to this point, the picture for season six becomes much clearer.
Luckily, not everybody will be making a return. And if they do, there will be riots. Watching Joffrey choke and turn purple was one of the greatest joys we’ve ever seen on Game Of Thrones, meaning any return for his character would be a horrible break in trust between fans and the show. Maybe if he returns as a Wight and immediately dies again. That’d be worth it.
